A few hours after Italian-American Tyra Caterina Grant converted the match point in Selva to win the W50 tournament, just a few kilometers away, the next event is getting underway: in Ortisei, everything is ready for the third and final act of the international tennis trilogy in Val Gardena.

The "Raiffeisen ITF Women's Val Gardena Südtirol," hosted at the beautiful indoor facility with concrete courts at TC Urtijei, starts tomorrow with the first qualifying round. The first day of the tournament promises to be an all-South Tyrolean Sunday, with no less than five local talents taking the court. Opening the day, in the second match after 10 a.m., will be home favourite Sofia Selle (TC Gherdëina) on Centre Court and Anna Costaperaria (TC Comune Bolzano) on Court 1. Selle will face Bosnian Sara Mikaca (WTA no. 1328), while Costaperaria will take on Italian Noemi Maines (WTA no. 1233) in an all-Italian derby.

Julia Peer (TC Comune BZ) and Marion Viertler (TC Merano) will take on Elena Bocchi from Parma in Ortisei, while Viertler will play Elisabeth Junge-Ilges from Germany on Court 1. The day for the South Tyrolean women will finally be concluded by Lisa Peer (TC Comune BZ) on Centre Court. Already present last week in the Selva qualifiers, along with Selle and her sister Julia, Lisa will face Carlotta Moccia (WTA no. 1320) in the fourth and final match after 10 a.m.
