The Qualifying at the Raiffeisen ITF Women's Val Gardena Südtirol is over. Marion Viertler from Schlanders was unable to pass the second qualifying round and lost 6:4 6:2 to Sofia Milatova (SVK - WTA 702), while Laura Mair and her doubles partner Sarah-Rebecca Sekulic from Germany defeated the German pairing Alissia Chiara Gleixner/Karina Hofbauer 6:2 6:4 to reach the quarter-finals.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, the matches start at 09:30 - it will be a long day as 13 singles matches will be played. Lara Pfeifer from Deutschnofen (WTA 856), who plays for TC Rungg, will face Katarina Kozarov from Serbia (WTA 307) in the 2nd match. Laura Mair (WTA 697) from Selva/Wolkenstein will not give her best until 18:00 against Diana Marcinkevica from Latvia (WTA 372) in the evening match. The Italian Lisa Pigato (WTA 388) has drawn a tough draw and has to play the German Mona Barthel (WTA 247), who was already ranked No. 23 in the world in 2013.
