Runner-Up Diana Marcinkevica fought like a lioness
Mona Barthel (WTA 250) from Germany is the winner of the Raiffeisen ITF Women's Val Gardena Südtirol 2023. The number 3 seed, who was already ranked 23rd in the world in 2013, brought all her experience to bear and defeated Latvia's Diana Marcinkevica (WTA 375) 6:2 6:7 (6) 6:4 in almost two hours. She collected € 3,542 in prize money and 50 points for the world rankings.

Die Grödner-Luft scheint Diana Marcinkevica (WTA 375) aus Lettland gut zu tun – sie steht im Finale des Raiffeisen ITF Women’s Val Gardena Südtirol. Sie konnte die um in etwa 100 Positionen besser klassifizierte Finnin, Anastasia Kulikova (WTA 277), in einem spannenden Match mit 6:3 7:6 (4) besiegen.

Doubles final tomorrow after the singles semifinals
The German number 3 seed Mona Barthel (WTA 250), already ranked 23rd in the world in 2013, advances to the semi-finals of the Raiffeisen ITF Women's Val Gardena Südtirol. She defeated Sweden's Caijsa Wilda Henneman 6:2 6:2 and will face the number 2 seed Yuliya Hatouka (WTA 238) in the second semi-final tomorrow after 2pm. Hatouka gave Britain's Amarni Banks (WTA 315) no chance and won 6:1 4:1 (Banks withdrew due to a muscle injury).

Other Seeds Through To Quarter Finals
Latvia's Diana Marcinkevica (WTA 375) caused a surprise when she defeated local hero Laura Mair yesterday. Today she once again played strongly and kicked the first seed Chloe Paquet (WTA 188) out of the race with 6-3 3-6 7-5.

The Super Tuesday at the Raiffeisen ITF Women's Val Gardena South Tyrol is behind us: 13 singles matches were played and six matches lasted over two hours. Lara Pfeifer took a set from the Serbian number 5 seed and fought bravely, but in the end it was not enough to reach the round of 16. She lost to Katarina Kozarov (WTA 307) 3:6 7:6(4) 3:6.
